Die Sprache Kaje (auch kache, Jju und kajji genannt; ISO-Code ist kaj[1]) ist eine platoide Niger-Kongo-Sprache, die von 300.000 Menschen[2] im nigerianischen Bundesstaat Kaduna verwendet wird.

Die Volksgruppe, die diese Sprache als Muttersprache spricht, ist unter Kaje, Kajji, Kache, Jju und Baju bekannt, nennt sich aber Bajju und wohnt in Häusern in der grasbewachsenen Savanne in den vulkanischen Hügeln im Bezirk Zangon Katab.[3]

Die Sprache ist eine Benue-Kongo-Sprache, und gehört zur engeren Gruppe der Plateau-Sprachen.[4]

Jju is the native language of the Bajju people of Kaduna State in central Nigeria. It is also locally known as "Kaje or Kache" (by the Hausas). As of 1988, there were approximately 300,000 speakers.[3] According to Blench (2008), Jju—with more speakers—appears to be a form of Tyap (although its speakers are ethnically distinct).[4][circular reference]
