Le tat ou tati est une langue iranienne et une variété de persan[2],[3],[4],[5],[6],[7], parlée par les Tats dans le Caucase, en Azerbaïdjan et au Daghestan. Elle appartient au groupe des langues iraniennes du Sud-Ouest.

The Tat language, also known as Tat/Tati Persian,[4][5] is a Southwestern Iranian language closely related to,[6] but not fully mutually intelligible[7] with Persian and spoken by the Tats in Azerbaijan and Russia. There is also an Iranian language called Judeo-Tat spoken by Jews of Caucasus.

Та́тский язы́к — название, принятое для обозначения группы диалектов татов-мусульман, горских евреев и армяно-татов. Многие исследователи считают их самостоятельными языками. В Дагестане обладает статусом одного из официальных языков. Мусульманско-татский, напротив, является исчезающим и вытесняется азербайджанским в Азербайджане[3][4], классифицируется как «язык в серьёзной опасности исчезновения» по критериям «Атласа языков мира в опасности», изданного UNESCO[5]. Татский язык довольно отдалён от современного персидского и считается самостоятельным языком в силу своей долгой изоляции.
