Koryak (/ˈkɔːriæk/) is a Chukotko-Kamchatkan language spoken by about 1,700 people as of 2010[1] in the easternmost extremity of Siberia, mainly in Koryak Okrug. It is mostly spoken by Koryaks. Its close relative, the Chukchi language, is spoken by about three times that number. The language together with Chukchi, Kerek, Alutor and Itelmen forms the Chukotko-Kamchatkan language family.[2] Its native name in Koryak is нымылан nymylan, but variants of the Russian "Koryak" name are most commonly used in English and other languages.

The Chukchi and Koryaks form a cultural unit with an economy based on reindeer herding and both have autonomy within the Russian Federation.

Korjakisch ist eine Sprache, die von 3.000 Korjaken hauptsächlich im ehemaligen autonomen Kreis der Korjaken gesprochen wird. Die Sprache ist ein naher Verwandter des Tschuktschischen. Sie hat einen großen Reichtum an Dialekten, die in einigen Fällen nicht gegenseitig verständlich sind.

El idioma coriaco o koryak es una lengua chucoto-camchatca (luoravetlan), hablada por unas 3.500 personas (según estimaciones del año 2001) en el Distrito Autónomo de Koriakia, en las extremidades orientales de Siberia, dentro de la península de Kamchatka. Guarda una relación muy estrecha con el idioma chucoto, que lo triplica en número de hablantes. Junto con el chucoto, el itelmeno, el kerek y el alutor (consideradas estas dos últimas como dialectos del coriaco) forma la familia de las lenguas chucoto-camchatcas (agrupadas dentro de las lenguas paleosiberianas). El nombre de la lengua en coriaco es нымылан, nymilan, pero el nombre impuesto por los rusos es el más común.

Le koriak est une langue tchouktche-kamtchadale parlée par les Koriaks à l'extrémité est de la Sibérie, principalement dans l'okroug de Koriakie. Son nom en koriak est чав'чваейыл (tchav'tchvaeylyl) ou нымылг’ын (nymylg'yn), mais le nom imposé par les Russes est le plus répandu. Le nombre de locuteurs du koriak est aujourd'hui estimé à 3 000 (contre 6 300 en 1959). En 1989, on estimait que 52,4 % des Koriaks avaient le koriak pour langue maternelle, et que 57,8 % le parlaient couramment[2].
