lingvo.wikisort.org - LanguageChứt (Chut, Cheut) or Rục-Sách is a dialect cluster spoken by the Chứt people of Vietnam, with a smaller population of some 450 speakers in neighbouring Khammouane Province, Laos. It is a Vietic language that may be most closely related to Arem.

Chứt has the four-way register system like Thavung augmented with pitch.[2] Unlike the Vietnamese language, Chứt still allows presyllables with a minor vowel, such as caku:4 "bear" (cf. Vietnamese gấu).[3]

Le chut est une langue môn-khmer parlée principalement au Viêt Nam. Le nombre total de ses locuteurs, les Chut, est de 4 280, dont 3 830 au Viêt Nam (1999), où ils vivent dans la province de Quang Binh, près de la frontière avec le Laos, où ils sont au nombre de 450.
